Created and hosted by the CIPD, the Festival of Work is a newly created exhibition and conference that will run for the first time at Olympia London from the 12th to 13th June 2019.
Billed as the ‘revolutionary HR and learning event’, the Festival of Work brings together two of the CIPD’s popular free-to-attend exhibitions with a future of work focused conference. The organisers are clearly aiming to put together an exciting new addition to the HR calendar that promises to equip HR for the work revolution. So, what is the Festival of Work, and why should you attend?
Two HR shows under one roof
The CIPD Festival of Work 2019 combines The HR Software and Recruitment Show (itself an evolution of the HR Software Show or HRSS) and The Learning and Development Show. By packaging these shows together, the CIPD say attendees will benefit from a groundbreaking event that will, amongst other benefits, help HR practitioners get more from tech for their people.
For sure, with over 300 exhibitors signed up, it’s the perfect opportunity to meet all the leading L&D and HR tech suppliers under one roof. However, remember that stands get very busy, especially during the middle of the day. It is worth getting your meetings booked in in advance.
Four free learning stages
Mixed in with the exhibition stands, are the free learning stages, each with a different theme: Future of Work, HR Technology, Learning and Development and Talent, Skills and Capabilities. With most of the presentations by exhibitors and event sponsors, the half hour presentations cover a wide range of topics, including data-driven HR, AI, team building and getting the most performance management.
One future-focused conference
With 500 tickets available each day and an impressive line up of speakers, the conference offers attendees the choice of six content streams covering people management & organisation development, talent, skills & capabilities, learning strategy for business success, learning technology & digital learning, HR technology and digital working, and leadership & business management.
Speakers from brands such as Google, John Lewis Partnership, Samsung and McDonald’s will take to the stage to share case studies, and delegates will have the opportunity to participate in panel discussions and hear from a wide range of industry experts.
CIPD is anticipating that around 7,000 HR professionals, business leaders and technologists will attend the first Festival of Work, and it looks set to be a fantastic event. The Cezanne HR team will be out in full force at the exhibition (returning for a sixth year), and delegates who visit us at stand D68 will also be treated to ice cream (while stocks last) – and who doesn’t like ice cream?
Do come and see us, we’re a friendly bunch and would love to demonstrate how our HR system can support you with onboarding, people, absence and performance management and more! You can read our full press release for the event to learn more.
