Payroll updates to support year end and the new tax year
The March release introduces key payroll updates to help organisations complete year-end processing with confidence and prepare for the 2026/2027 tax year:
- Updated rates and thresholds, along with the addition of the 2026/2027 tax year, ensure payroll teams are ready for year-end and the new payroll cycle.
- A new Royal London pension export format makes it easier to generate and submit pension contribution files.
- A new option to deduct the full outstanding reducing balance for leavers provides greater control over final payments.
- BACS payment files now include Building Society and Attachment of Earnings Order (AEO) references, helping to reduce errors and avoid payment delays.
- The Base Hourly Rate calculation has been updated to ensure more consistent and accurate hourly rate calculations for salaried employees.
Supporting compliance with Employment Rights Act changes
To align with upcoming legislative changes, Cezanne has updated UK Paternity Leave settings in line with the Employment Rights Act 2025.
The updated entitlement settings ensure that organisations can confidently manage paternity leave in accordance with the latest requirements, with revised rules and fields automatically reflected when using UK plans.
A more consistent and flexible user experience
Continuing its focus on usability and design consistency, Cezanne has introduced several interface improvements, which include:
- A new widget header design has been applied across the platform, delivering a cleaner and more consistent user experience.
- The Person Code field can now be configured in the Person Header, with visibility extended to line managers and employees via self-service.
Expanded language support
And last but not least, to better support organisations in Wales, Welsh is now an available system language. This enables employees to use the platform in their preferred language, helping to improve accessibility and engagement.
