Make the most of the smart calendar features in Cezanne HR.
With Spring finally making an appearance (we hope!), and schools about to break up, many employees understandably want to make the most of the Easter bank holiday and book additional days off.
Within departments or teams, it’s usually up to the line manager to ensure that there’s appropriate cover in place for their particular area. However, when expertise is spread across a number of different teams, it can be harder to spot where the business could be short-handed. No one wants to stop employees from taking a well-deserved break. At the same time, if there’s no easy way to check who is available to cover for key acivities – from picking up sales enquiries through to dealing with a crisis – the result could be missed revenue opportunities or unhappy customers.
One of the easiest ways to see who’s in or out of the office is to personalise your calendar view in Cezanne HR. As an HR user or line manager, you can easily choose to who to see. This could include your own team, your peers from across the organisation, as well as other employees who are critical to keeping the business running.
It’s also a good idea to remind staff working remotely that they can add this to the calendar in Cezanne HR, and ask them to check their contact information is up to date. That way all of the information is in one place. It’s a more straightforward and reliable way to ensure anyone in the business can find a colleague if they need help.
Last, but not least, if you are away yourself, you may want to make sure that everyone knows what to do should there be a crisis – or an issue where you’d normally need to be involved. Post the latest guides to your HR portal and let everyone know where to go to get the information. Since Cezanne HR is online, in the Cloud, it will all be accessible to employees via the internet, even if they are not in the office.
