When we first started to develop the Cezanne HR system, we had five key objectives – objectives that we still hold to today.
The first was to develop a great HR software system that meets the real needs of today’s HR professionals, and the people and organisations they support.
The second was put our clients in control, so they could get their HR system up and running for themselves quickly, and configure it to work their way, rather than having to rely on expensive professional services.
The third was to enable zero cost updates, so we could add new features virtually every month without disrupting our customers – or the configurations they had made.
The fourth was to build in security at every level. HR data is sensitive, and we know how important it is to keep it safe.
The fifth was to pick a great hosting partner that would allow us to deliver a robust, secure and great value solution to customers worldwide.
We took a bet on Amazon Web Services (AWS), who at the time was probably better known in the HR community for their online shopping and book sales. While they were already a well-established (and well regarded) player in the infrastructure space, they were just one of several companies competing to take the lead in the Cloud Infrastructure space.
We selected them because of their approach. Like us, they were focused on security; international in outlook; and continuously investing in the latest technologies in a way that helps us take out cost and improve service delivery for our own clients.
We’ve been very happy with our choice, not least because of the reliability of their service for all our users worldwide, and the ease with which we’ve been able to scale our service in line with client growth, usage of Cezanne HR and the introduction of new technologies.
As the latest Magic Quadrant from US analysts Gartner confirms, AWS is now well ahead of their competitors in this space. They continue to lead the way in thought leadership, in innovation, and in the portfolio of services they offer – all of which we, as an Amazon Partner, can take advantage of to deliver a great online HR system for our clients.
