London, United Kingdom: Cezanne HR, the UK’s leading supplier of flexible online HR software for mid-sized UK and global businesses, confirm the latest update to their innovative Cloud HR platform.

The second release of 2022 reflects a busy start to the year for Cezanne HR’s product development and QA teams – and a sign of things to come.

John Hixon, Director of R&D explains: “Cezanne HR is, by design, a system that’s constantly improving and we’re always looking for new ways to help our customers. With that in mind, we’ve an exciting product road map in place for 2022 that reflects our ambitions for the product and those of our customers. At least half a dozen of the new features in this release were suggested by them, and we have many more of their ideas in development.”

Ensuring customers can make the system their own

We believe HR teams are at the heart of any great business, and an HR system should be too. That’s why we make it easy for customers to customise their Cezanne HR system to make it their own and reflect their organisation’s way of working, branding and culture. The latest update introduces two new features that reflect this vision.

Brand-new custom fields

Cezanne HR has a best-practice HR database with hundreds of fields that HR teams can configure to fit their needs. However, we know that sometimes customers like to be able to add their own. With this update to Cezanne HR, we’ve made it easy for them to do just that.

Colour-coding events

Recording company and org unit events in the system is a smart way of making sure employees know about the ones that affect them, like a company kick-off meeting or a departmental social day.  This update adds the option for HR teams to pick their own colour for each event.  It’s a great way to ensure important activities stand out in cluttered calendars.

Faster security role set up

For our large and international customers, the flexibility to create security roles that match the roles and responsibilities of their staff has always been popular. However, we recognised that as the number of security roles grew the task of setting them up did too. We’ve added new clone options that will make this a lot easier to manage.

More time-saving notifications

Chasing up HR processes and paperwork is never good use of anyone’s time, so this release includes two new features that we’re sure will help reduce the admin overhead: an instant notification when a document is signed and the option to have the system chase up processes that get stuck.

As John explains: “Even though the system sends out reminders in the run up to a task deadline, we know that important activities still get overlooked. For example, a busy line manager might forget to approve a holiday request or follow up on a sick leave. Rather than managing these over-looked processes via reporting, HR now have the option to have the system automatically trigger another reminder and choose who gets it. So, a missed activity could be escalated to a more senior manager, or to HR, to check and resolve.”

Easier anniversary reporting, richer employee profiles, more flexible reporting

The release also includes a host of other features requested by customers, such as: new parameters that control when absence events can be added, deleted or changed; more flexibility for reporting on employee hire dates, anniversaries and birthdays; additional options for displaying data in employee profiles and the option to easily record settled status.

Looking ahead: update to public holidays

Last but not least, the dates of the confirmed international public holidays for 2023 and 2024 are now available.  Time to book a cruise, anyone?
