PROCAT has chosen Cezanne HR to help professionalise its HR processes

procatProspects College of Advanced Technology (PROCAT), the Essex-based FE Institution specialising in construction and engineering, has chosen Cezanne HR to help professionalise its HR processes.

While moving from private to incorporated status, PROCAT also grew in staff numbers, prompting a search for an HR system that would help them automate human resources – instead of managing HR data and people processes on spreadsheets and paper-based systems.

PROCAT’s HR Officer, Denise Mooney, met the Cezanne HR team at the HR Software Show in London and was impressed by the design and capabilities of the system, as well as the cost. “The pricing model was the cherry on the cake,” she said. “We particularly like the fact that you paid a set fee per employee per month, which could be adjusted up or down depending on how many staff you had at the time.”

The HR team started with core HR and quickly moved into the absence module. Being an educational establishment, PROCAT has staff on many different types of contracts and work-time patterns, Cezanne helped them configure the system to meet those needs.

“I can run specific reports on everything from age profiles and length of service to absence and retention rates and then give them to the board to help inform their decisions,” Denise said, “previously, that information would have been difficult to collate, but now we can get it at the touch of a button. It’s allowing us to respond to requests much faster and helps to improve the professionalism of the organisation.”

They have also turned on both the performance management and recruitment modules, giving them a full range of new HR functionality and allowing them to refresh their approach.

The college was able to get up-and-running with the system with help from Cezanne HR’s customer support team. Denise says, “I have been really pleased with the system and the Cezanne team has been superb with set up, support and response times. The feedback from our managers and staff has been great. They have found the system easy to use and have been able to navigate their way around it, even if they are not particularly technically minded.”
